Skin Softening Treatments

As a beauty treatment, this is a luxurious way of intensely moisturising the hands, feet, elbows and knees making them feel soothed, hydrated and looking great, especially if you have very dry skin.

This treatment may be usefully combined with a Manicure or Pedicure Treatment.  The intensive treatments may be especially useful before a big day, such as a wedding or party or just to treat yourself in the winter months.

Physicians, Physiotherapists and Arthritis specialists, have recommended Paraffin Wax therapy for years and is probably one of the most under-rated treatments, it is now making a come back.

The warm paraffin is one of the most effective ways of applying heat to reduce the swelling in muscles, decrease inflammation of joints and connective tissues, soothe the pain from arthritis and improve circulation.

Areas treated are hands, feet, knees and elbows.

Warm paraffin wax is applied to the area, then placed in a plastic bag and placed in a mitten or bootie or wrapped in a towel, depending on area, to keep warmth and moisture to the skin.  After 10 minutes the mitten and bag is removed leaving the area feeling soothed, skin soft smooth and fresh.  The treatment is complete with a light massage with an application of luxurious cream or oil.

Benefits:

  • Intensely moisturises dry and cracked skin
  • Helps pores to open and the skin to soften
  • Improves circulation
  • Soothes aches, pains, tired and sore muscles
  • leanses and Detoxifies
  • Leaves skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Aids with water retention (recommended one treatment twice per month)
